The Snohomish County Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Section promotes informed use and best practices in alternative dispute resolution in Snohomish County. This bar section formed in 2011, after the Snohomish County Superior Court required mediation or other alternative dispute resolution process before a family law case could go to trial. This website provides a list of attorney mediators available to provide mediation in family law to meet the requirement of court rule. It also provides a list of other ADR professionals and information about ADR.
What is ADR?
ADR means alternative dispute resolution. It means a dispute resolution process that is alternative to the conventional or traditional adversary litigation court process. There are many different types of alternative dispute resolution. Mediation is a common type. Arbitration is a common type.
