Infrastructure Bridge is an 11-week construction training program for high school graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the trades. Participants gain hands-on job experience while building homes from the ground up for low-income families. Training includes power- and hand-tool training, professional certifications, and career counseling. Participants receive a modest living stipend while attending the program. Infrastructure Bridge is part of Portland YouthBuilders, a pre-apprenticeship program approved by the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, giving students direct-entry status to many local construction apprenticeship programs.
