Oregon Lifeline is a federal and state government program that reduces the monthly cost of phone or broadband service for qualifying low-income households. Also known as the Oregon Telephone Assistance Program, the program (1) reduces the cost of phone bills by up to $12.75 per month, (2) reduces the cost of broadband service by $9.25 per month, or (3) provides free phone or broadband service. Note: Federal and state regulations limit the Lifeline benefit to one per household for either phone or broadband service. Check with internet service provider to get internet speed requirements for Lifeline program.
