Provides assistance with locating services and advocating for older adults. The Eldercare Locator database is designed to link older adults and their caregivers to unbiased information and assistance resources at the state and community level. To accomplish this goal, the Administration on Aging (AoA) works in partnership with State and Area Agencies on Aging funded through the Older Americans Act (OAA). Callers are referred to agencies in their area that provide assistance with legal services, elder abuse prevention, health insurance counseling, prescription assistance, recreation, transportation, adult day care, home delivered meals, and other related topics of particular interest and importance for older Americans.
