The Senior Activity Center will be CLOSED the following dates:
Monday, December 25 – Christmas Day
Monday, January 1 – New Year’s Day
Monday January 15 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Monday, February 19 – Presidents’ Day
Inclement Weather Policy
If we should have snow, freezing rain, ice, heavy winds or flooding this winter season, unless the city closes its doors, the Kent Senior Activity Center will try to be open if at all possible. However, we do not encourage you to attempt to come to the Center if the road conditions are bad. A message will be left on the Center phone in the early morning about possible closures and trip and class changes. We encourage you to call one hour prior to your class, trip, or activity to find out whether or not it has been cancelled. If we cancel the class or trip due to weather, refunds will be applied to your Parks Department account. Also please call before you come in to make sure that staff has arrived to open the building – 253-856-5150.
